Al Franken sucks
But he is a hell of a lot more tolerable than that chowderhead Rush or the smug idiot O'Really.
Air America
Deep Throat?
I am not surprised that stories like this get no play in America. But I really wish the media treated the Bush administration 1/10th as critically as it treated the Clinton administration. I mean, could Clinton EVER get away with something like this?

I doubt it.

Sibel Edmonds said she spent more than three hours in a closed session with the commission's investigators providing information that was circulating within the FBI in the spring and summer of 2001 suggesting that an attack using aircraft was just months away and the terrorists were in place. The Bush administration, meanwhile, has sought to silence her and has obtained a gagging order from a court by citing the rarely used "state secrets privilege".

She told The Independent yesterday: "I gave [the commission] details of specific investigation files, the specific dates, specific target information, specific managers in charge of the investigation. I gave them everything so that they could go back and follow up. This is not hearsay. These are things that are documented. These things can be established very easily."

And this is not some evil career civil servant that oddly is not married (gay probably - therefore a liar). This is just a middle of the organization translator that tried to tell those pussbags that "Never could have known that a plane could be used as a missile" that a major attack was in the works.

Obviously they knew something or they would not have stopped Ashcroft from flying. Obviously they knew something or Clarke would not have been raving. Obviously they knew something or Paul O'Neil would not have been raving.

I truly hate those fucking tools.

I like this part:
It is impossible at this stage to verify Mrs Edmonds' claims. However, some senior US senators testified to her credibility in 2002 when she went public with separate allegations relating to alleged incompetence and corruption within the FBI's translation department

Something tells me that if this ever goes public, every Senator that was vouching for Edmonds' credibility will suddenly develop a case of amnesia and say, "We never really trusted that towel head".
